RAML AS A MEDICAL ASTROLOGY SYSTEM

    Raml is a divination system which is so complicated in operations and so expanded in probabilities. This method is based on a horoscope with 16 squares and 16 figures. Each of these figures is composed of 4 line and/or  point. 

    In Raml, like all other ways of divination, the main principle is to intend and let a series of accidents to decide.

    I'ching may known as a kind of very simplified Raml, because the probabilities achieved from multiplication of 16 figures by 16 squares, present only the immature information of horoscope.   

    Regarding to kind of information we want to extract, there are various orders of movement in squares and so, very complicated probabilities will be created.
    One of the usages of Raml is to diagnose personality background and temperament of a individual, apparent and hidden diseases and to suggest some behavioral changes and prescribe herbal and animal or mineral drugs which can help him/her to restore health and balance.

   Like most of traditional medicine systems, disease was thought as a imbalance of humors and/or forces. Each of these therapeutic factors is related to one of the figures in Raml and their arrangement in the squares will indicated how to use them.

   No scientific study has been done about philosophical and practical structure of Raml yet and this is the first ethnomedical study on health and therapeutic system which Raml describes.
